The construction of the archival modernization is the topic of the archives work in the information time. Traditional network file has been gradually form into digital files, University Archives as teaching, research, and the history of the party and government management of other activities, have been digitized files, information and services using the network of conduct change.With visual archives universities increasing number and variety of audio and video files hysteresis management directly affect the overall development of University Archives levels, strengthen the management of audio and video files without delay.First, this paper analyzes and researches the situation and problems of visual archives of universities, then focuses on the implementation of the digitization of visual archives. Since the physical files are different audiovisual material as a carrier, and for processing digital audiovisual file must comply with the different requirements of the material, This paper analyzes the universities photos, post classification and characteristics of audio and video files, elaborates audio visual equipment and workflow needed to digital files used.Paper focuses on the research and development of audio and video file management system,The system is developed using PHP language,The database server uses a MYSQL, and is a relational database management system, Choosing a development environment in the WINDOWS environment PHP5.4 + APACHE2.2 + MYSQL5.5, Personnel issues through careful experimentation and systems for audio and video files to test, to prove the scientific rationality of the audio and video file management system, personnel issues will be applied to the audio and video file management system integration and use of experimental teaching of Nanjing Audit University in audiovisual resources.
