Design And Implenmentation Of Computer Management System Of Sichuan Post And Telecommunication College

With the development and popularity of computer local area network(‘LAN’) technology, there have been varieties of social LAN management software, among which various kinds of Internet-cafe management software are most widely used. However, there are not enough kinds of software that are specially designed for the use of college computer rooms. As there are more and more college computer courses, functions of computer rooms are more diversfied. If we continue to rely on manual work, there must be some vulnerability or even fault problems with our computer room management. Our college has Multimedia computer rooms, Software computer rooms, Network rooms and Logistics training room etc., the management of which are tedious and susceptible to errors from related asset management,experimental arrangements and expense settlement. It is urgent for our college to develop a suitable computer room management software system. Combining the network logon and authentication function in order to esure the safety, this system is customized and specially designed for such specific needs that are mentioned as above.The system requirements analysis, system analysis, system design, programming interface setup and program coding and summarizing are described in this thesis. During the systematic analysis, the ER diagram and business flow diagram are used to analyze the function of system by creating related data dictionary and database. The system combines a client network logon and authentication to achieve high security standard for the client side. On the management side, the software model is adopted to manage the school computer room operations, including system management, user management checkout, computers and computer information management, no cartoons management, daily management, new members apply for management, user information, maintenance management, maintenance management administrator information, room reservations and arranging management, the machine time and attendance management, student payment management, user rights management and the introduction of cross-platform management. This system, a subsystem running on the LAN, can help effectively and reliably manage all the machines that are linked via LAN.This system, which is based on Windows XP as the operating system, VB.NET by Microsoft as the developing platform, and ACCESS as the backgrounder database, and which has adopted the B / S software structural system that has blended the advanced and sophisticated computer networks and component technology, has been already successfully test run by our collge. The test results show that the system is reliable, stable and user-friendly, which can significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of the computer room management tasks.
