With the rapid development of modern technology and the quick progress of human ideas, various intelligent devices using radio technology are invented, applied and accepted by people immediately, which lead to more complex radio signals in the air. In such context, portable spectrum monitoring device is designed for analysis and monitoring of radio spectrum.Based on spectrum analysis technology, this paper mainly focuses on the design of portable spectrum monitoring device. Guided by the idea of software radio, the overall scheme and the mini size, low power consumption and high scalability of signal receiving channel and embedded control system are studied. The main research contents are as follows:First of all, the changes in spectrum testing requirements in different eras are dissected. In accordance with current technological development and testing requirements, combined with the idea of software radio, the separation of hardware acquisition data and software processing data is proposed. Then, on the basis of spectrum analysis technology, the software solution is put forward to realize spectrum monitoring.Secondly, the working principle of down-conversion channel circuit is explored. After analyzing the working principle of traditional spectrum analyzer and related technical details, the functions of main modules are abstracted accordingly. The down-conversion channel design is improved and the down-conversion scheme that is more suitable for zero immediate frequency(ZIF) of portable devices is selected. In terms of digital signal processing and control system, a heterogeneous dual core processor is innovatively adopted to further narrow the volume and power consumption of the machine.Finally, the hardware design of a feasible scheme is completed. In accordance with the working principle of ZIF chip, the software regulation and control method is given. The principle and details of heterogeneous-core DaVinci technology is studied; the system transplantation and software operating environment of heterogeneous dual core processor are constructed; the communication mechanism of dual core is dissected and corresponding testing programme is written. By designing the testing programme, the function testing of main modules is successfully implemented.
