As the acceleration of the global economic integration, the rapid development and popularization of modern information of science and technology, the modern tobacco enterprise will face more severe challenge from information market. It will put forward higher requirements for big tobacco business when making decisions and working out the development strategy. Efficient material management system in the tobacco companies gradually highlights its important position. Having a real-time and efficient material management system is favorable for the smooth production, the standard and efficient management. In order to make the various aspects conform to the material management system, the enterprise needs to put forward higher requirements in terms of material management.This passage uses modern management theory and the principle of system engineering and database technology to model to the objects. The total design of the system is divided into three layers, respectively: the client, the database server and application server. By adopting Rational Rose modeling tool for research and development, it can carry on the analysis and design on material management system and provide the decision support function for the controller.The main functions are as following:1. Respectively summarize the present situation of the material managementsystem of domestic and foreign enterprise. Taking the status of the materialmanagement a tobacco company for instance, it presents the Networkarchitecture material management of mathematical system which is based onthe browser and the server(B/S).2. Choose the Rational Rose modeling to establish the mathematical model for thematerial management system according to the characteristics of themanagement of tobacco enterprise. Use UML language for the whole systemanalysis and design.3. This design can realize the function of independent module, develop a "tobaccomaterial management system", implements the user authentication, userinformation management, information management in the department, contractinformation management, warehouse management, role and right management, information system management, etc.
