Software defined radio with the flexibility, openness, and reconfigurable features can shorten the development circle and cut down the cost of system upgradation. Highspeed data transmission is one of the main functions, and how to achieve the high-speed data transmission is a key problem while designing software defined radio platform.Currently, USB, PCIE and 1394 are common used peripheral interfaces for high-speed data transmission between PC and software defined radio platform. However, when using these interfaces to realize high-speed data transmission, the distance is short, it can’t achieve network transimission and remote control; it is relatively difficult to develop hardware interface and relatively complex to develop applications.Therefore, based on the software defined radio platform, the paper has realized communication between PC and software defined radio platform through the ethernet, which has improved the distance of high-speed data transmission, reduced the difficulty of developing applications and enhanced the portability of data interface. The paper has completed the following works:Firstly, the paper has implemented reduced ethernet protocol stack and designed the peer transmission data channel for communication between PC and software defined radio platforms. The protocol stack includes ARP, IP, UDP and PING protocols; based on the protocol, paper has achieved the communication between PC and software defined radio platforms; using data channel has accomplished functions of data transmission, parameter configuration, state observation and flow control.Secondly, the paper has achieved data transparent transmission between software defined radio platforms. This paper provides two kinds of data transparent transmission scheme, which are physical layer and MAC layer, but the loss rate of physical layer is relatively high. After the improvement of the physical layer scheme, the paper has accomplished the MAC layer data transparent transmission.Thirdly, the paper has verified the functionality and performance. The results show that it has realized the communication between PC and software defined radio platforms, the data rate of dual-channel loopback test is up to 951 Mbps. Through data transparent transmission, the rate of TCP is up to 758 Mbps, and the rate of UDP is up to 928 Mbps and loss rate is 0.24%.This paper has achieved high-speed data communication between PC and software defined radio platforms, accomplished data transparent transmission and data rate can satisfy the demand of high-speed data communication. Paper achievement has been applied to actual products, which has some practical value.
