The rapid development of inform ation technology for m ilitary automation provides a convenient; in the battle command m ilitary plotting software of computer have key application. W ith the constant im provement of com puter plotting software functions, in the actua l work needs a single military plotting system can’t satisfy the demand of military personnel, its flexibility and portability has limitations. User urgent need of existing com puter military plotting s oftware for function extension of the military plotting system flexibly accord ing to actual dem and, seamless embedded in different system platforms, make its ha ve good reusability and the com patibility. According to different application requirements, in the field of military plotting system as the integ rated functional com ponents for this technical problem provides a good solution.In this paper are briefly expounded on the basis of the concept of military plotting, it emphasized the first play an important role in military geographic information system and highlights its adva ntage in au tomation of military. Relive the military plotting software development course and development trends at home and abroad, especially in new breakthroughs were m ade in the softwa re development technology. Then through in-depth analysis of the re lated concepts of components and com ponent object model, has drawn out the objects, the IUnknown inte rface of COM component and component implementation way. Then to m ilitary plotting module based on the analys is of the functional and non-functional requirem ents, deep comparison this paper expounds the traditional software design technology and component-based software development technology. By using the object-oriented de sign and component development method, using the design m ethod of softwa re engineering was introduced in detail based on COM components of m ilitary plotting m odule design framework and general principles; Especially focus on military plotting module, the standard symbol library and so on h as carried o n the detailed de sign and im plementation, including m ilitary plotting module design includes com ponent interface, input/ou tput interface, management interface and interface design. Then, by combining with COM technology, implements the m ilitary plotting m odule of the comprehensive utilization of the k ey function module and application examples to verify. Finally, the work of this paper are summarized and the lo ng-distance synchronous plotting technique bas ed on m ilitary plotting outlook is proposed.
