The microwave power amplifier is widerly applied in the system of the radar,the communication,the navigation, the earth working station of satellite,and the electronic countermeasure.It is important for amplifier to play a key role in outputing a certan in power at a point of the frequency or within a range of frequency. The microwave transistor power amplifier function under the circumsitances of large signal,so it’s method of designing and the tansistor used is different from these of microwave amplifier working in the state of small signal,which is numerously difficulty with a variety of traits, as a result the research of microwave power amplifier is consistently made into consideration by many researchers.As for the character of high stability, most countries of the word have begun the competition to study the fully solid-state radar. Because of the development of transistors, the technology of solid-state radar has been improved. After 30 years’ study,many kinds of radar with excellent features、high stability have been developed. In some fields, the vacuum radars have to face much more competition with solid-state radars. Our country also has studied many RF transistors from abroad, and developed some solid-state radars.Now the transmitter has been designed and tested, the subsystem has been adjusted also with the system, some excellent results have been gotten.Some new technologies are used: the modulization of the subassembly,the cooling system of the high power modules, the modulization of power supply and so on.The paper introduces the procedure of the RF module from being studied to being used. The module is being used in a kind of meteorological solid-state radar.
