Form 1946 when G Sinclair presented the conception of the target polarization scattering matrix, the radar polarization technology has been researched for about 60 years. For the system of present radar, the study of the instantaneous polarization new system radar and the use of the counter target hiding and target recognition will be advanced especially. This paper based on the project of the instantaneous polarization radar experiment system's developing, which belongs to the second period 985 projects. This paper's useful-background is this radar's RF sub-system. The front-end receiver system and transmitter system of this radar which is based on the MIC and the MMIC is designed. The parts of the key circuit belongs to them are manufactured at the same time in this paper.Firstly, according to the working principle and the frequency of the instantaneous polarization radar, the structure of the 2 channels 2 frequency conversion superheterodyne receiver is decided. The system of the radar receiver is designed, and the function module is confirmed. The design scheme of the system is realizable, which is proved by checking the performance of the receiver system.Secondly, according to the radar receiver system's request to the low noise amplifier module, the design scheme and circuit structure of the 3 step low noise amplifier is decided. The LNA is optimized by Microwave Office software and Smith chart step by step. The LNA that is designed is manufactured, and the measured results are basically accordant to numerical simulated results.According to the radar receiver system design and its sub-modules' parameter, the appropriate MIC is selected. The circuit of the RF frequency down-conversion module and the IF frequency down-conversion module based on the MIC, is designed. The 2 modules are manufactured and debugged. The measured results are basically accordant to the design request.Then, based on the special function request of the instantaneous polarization radar and the design scheme of receiver system, the structure of 2 channels 2 frequency conversion master oscillator amplifier transmitter is presented. The appropriate transmitter power is selected. The power gain of the amplification and frequency conversion chain is assigned, based on the transmitter sum power. The design scheme of the system is realizable.The RF frequency up-conversion module and the IF frequency up-conversion module based on MIC which is in the transmitter system is designed and manufactured. The 2 modules are debugged. And the measured results are basically accordant to the design request.The last chapter is paper concluding remarks, which sums the paper work, and bring forward the latter task.
