With the development of 4G, 5G mobile communications, wireless communications equipment is more and more complex, wireless communication bandwidth and frequency also increases. System testing and radio channel simulation throughout the development cycle proportion is also growing, especially how to fully simulate all possible broadband wireless communication channel model.In Test of broadband wireless communications and radio, you need to explore different ways of communication transmission model in different channels.This process requires a lot of experiments, including different field experiments, field of wireless communications environment is the most realistic test environment, but every time you need to move to the outdoor test environment test equipment, test and research undoubtedly bring great inconvenience.And test different channels need to test different field experiments and the environment. The same test environment can not fully respond to the channel model.To solve these problems, the paper thought the application software radio technology to study the broadband channel simulator, designed and implemented a center channel simulator processing boards.Firstly, for a broadband wireless signals common frequency band and bandwidth to military radio for instance, proposed channel simulator design specifications.Project goal is to design a set of bands at 0.1 ~ 3000 MHz broadband channel emulator platform that supports eight channels simultaneously, each channel transceiver supports automatic switching. In this paper, the design requirements analysis of key technology, hardware configuration, software and hardware interface.Second, this paper designed and completed the digital front-end module and a central processing board.The front-end data acquisition module contains the FPGA digital board and ADC and DAC module.The central processing board using ATCA architecture, contains four Xilinx V7 FPGA, 8 FMC expansion cards, providing up to 800 Gbps data rates of foreign high-speed serial interface, high performance OCXO, high-performance clock network, 1000 Mbps Ethernet, 32 GB DDR3.Finally, the hardware index parameters in a lab environment testing center digital baseband processor board, including the power supply output voltage ripple, 10 G GTX high-speed serial interface, DDR3, 1000 Mbps Ethernet, clock, FMC ADC / DAC loopback test. At the same time the tests were analyzed indicators and suggest improvements.Paper designs and implements digital wideband channel simulator hardware, through the system of the functionality and performance of the test, verify its feasibility. ATCA-based central processing board has been included in the broadband channel simulator, the fifth generation of mobile communications technology pre-research, large-scale remote measurement used in specific projects, with good prospects.
