Radar and satellite are the main remote detection tools. Radar mainly uses radio methods to find the target and determine their spatial location. The present stealth technology mainly refers to the stealth of radar waves. On the other hand, it also need to take measures to make the target stealth to visible light and infrared detection by satellite. In this background, this paper uses the electrochromic materials and the method of real-time image processing to achieve the purpose of stealth.In recent years, using the programmable logic devices, such as FPGA, can meet the system requirements for high-speed and stable in the implementation of various applications based in the field of digital signal processing. Therefore, we designed the control system which is based on FPGA image processing to make electrochromic materials simulate the surrounding environment, it can be applied in the field of environmental camouflage.Firstly, we discussed how to accomplish the functions of displaying and driving system, including the realization of image acquisition, image processing, image display and DAC output control. And then applied the chips and related circuits to design the functional modules of the hardware and software.Based on this approach, this paper mainly aims at the design of visible light and IR part of camouflage driver.In visible light camouflage driver part, it mainly includes the following contents:CCD camera captures external image, the image acquisition unit(ADV7180) changes the image into digital video, and then it comes into RGB digital signals after a series of image processing algorithm, the digital analog conversion unit(ADV7123) outputs VGA signal to drive the VGA display and small LCD screen, FPGA identifies the RGB signal and conduct algorithm processing, the corresponding control data transfers to the high-speed D/A converter(DAC), FPGA outputs the corresponding voltage signal to make electrochromic device adaptively display the similar color with the environment for the purpose of camouflage.The contents of infrared camouflage driver part are as follows, we use online infrared camera to capture the external image, and output infrared image to PC through the ethernet interface, then get the environment temperature signal through operation,and send the signal to the image processing unit(FPGA) through the USB interface.Similarly, identify the temperature signal and conduct algorithm processing, form the corresponding control data to the high-speed D/A converter, output the voltage signal to change the material temperature. by using this material, we can achieve the hidden to infrared detection.In order to make the camouflage effects more accurately, we track the color-change of the electrochromic device determined by the voltage in real time, and adjust the output control-voltage. We also study the external environment(such as light) influence that produces to the electrochromic device, the program is optimized by adaptive technology, it can track the environmental light influence to electrochromic device in real time.
