In recent years, with the rapid development of microelectronics technology, computer technology and digital signal processing technology, radar technology has entered the stage of revolutionary development, especially the development of the multifunction phased array radar. Phased array system with a series of technical advantages of rapid scanning beam, beam shape agility, signal space power synthesis, making it easier for completing search, interception, tracking and other functions, So phased array radar often have a variety of operating modes. Depth analysis of the variation of phased array radar operating modes and their associated parameters has great significance for the radar system performance optimization and potential. At the same time,the emergence of this new radar system, puts forward a serious challenge to the radar countermeasure, through intercepted radar signals, the analysis of radar mode and working conditions is an integral part of the radar confrontation.In view of the above reasons, this paper modeling the phased array radar system, and according to this model the analysis of its various operating modes has been made from the perspective of the radar reconnaissance, The main work of the thesis is as follow:1.According to the principle of radar system, the modeling of each module of the phased array radar system has completed, Including radar antenna module, echo simulation module, signal processing module, data processing module. The signal processing module as the core, the in-depth analysis and design of parameters associated with radar operating modes has been made in all aspects. Through the simulation experiment, the validity of the model and the rationality of the parameters has been verified.2.Through the establishment of reconnaissance interception model, in certain radar scanning type, the variation rules of radar signal amplitude received by radar reconnaissance receiver has been studied. Based on the summary of traditional method of amplitude analysis, the analysis principles for phased array radar signal amplitude data has been given. According to this principle, a method of amplitude data feature analysis based on short time window has been proposed, through the simulation experiment, the validity of the method has been verified. In terms of the feature of amplitude data, a new idea for the analysis of radar operation mode has been provided.3.Through the establishment of a typical radar scene, set the radar work in track while scan mode(TWS), track and search mode(TAS), single target tracking mode(STT) and radar imaging mode respectively, through the reconnaissance receiver arranged on target platform, the real-time full pulse radar data under different operating modes has been obtained. Combined with full pulse data obtained by simulation, characteristic parameters for different operating modes of the radar has been analyzed, thus the exploratory research on the decision problem of radar operating modes has been made.
