The thesis focuses on the wide-area surveillance within the range of river dam operation, real-time integration of the full range of information technology security monitoring and remote control of the state. Using a remote terminal unit(RTU), field bus, digital video, PC monitoring software and other modern computer network communication technology to achieve flow control, water level monitoring, video information collection and information storage as one gate remote control system to achieve improved water resources comprehensive management capabilities and the effect of gate remote automation engineering control.The design principle, function definition, working principle and hardware and software automation system frame structure of the dam gate automation monitoring and control system have been studied. According with the principle of coordinate and optimize hierarchical centralized control in distributed control system and the principle of management-level thinking, process control and field control level three data communication structure and network communication technology, the overall architecture design of the gate remote control system have been provided.Detailed analyses of the gate remote automation system functional requirements and the corresponding design principles have been provided. With the overall project design, the working principle of the control system, the basic architecture and component units were focused, and the difference between the industrial control network and traditional computer network comparative analysis is given, combined with a specific project, remote terminal unit design scheme based on Smart Fusion embedded chip and industrial Ethernet data communication protocol development process is designed.Remote video surveillance digital design programs and video surveillance systems are provided, Through the remote the water surface before and behind the gate, and also the monitoring of the flow velocity and other operation information, video capture, recording and playback functions are achieved.The design and technology implementation of the information integration technology for remote monitoring system have been studied. The design principles and functional modules, based on VC + + development environment designed to explain the remote monitoring system(PC) software modular design and development process have been described. Combined with practical projects, the relevant sub-module program design and development of practical work have been carried out.
