Design And Implementation Of Hotel Management System On Mobile Internet

Recently, smart phones have been utilized for communication, socialization and entertainment widely. In traditional hotel industry, there is a strong social needs to combine the mobile internet and the hotel management system. The mobile hotel management system not only makes it possible for business travelers to access hotel’s services, but also raises the hotel’s profile. Therefore, the thesis aims to implement a mobile hotel management system to guarantee guests, managers and employers can access hotel’s services. In this thesis, we design a hotel management system based on the mobile internet. The contributions are listed as follows.1. The framework of the mobile hotel management system is proposed. According to the different types of user, we divide the system into 4 modules: hotel guests, managers, front-desk staffs and back-office employers. On one hand, this solution guarantees that each module is independent with each other. On the other hand, modules can be translated to other systems such as the catering management.2. The implementation of the mobile devices is accomplished. The functions are arranged in two parts: hotel guests and managers. For hotel guests, our system provides services, including user login, information retrieval, room reservation and navigation. For managers, we provide services such as user login, business information retrieval, issues order and sending/receiving mails.3. The implementation of the server-side software is accomplished. According to the user identities, our system is divided into two aspects: front-desk staffs and back-office employers. Front-desk staffs take charge of user login, information retrieval, business handling and settlement. Back-office employers is responsible for human resources, information retrieval, data statistics and report generation.4. The overall mobile hotel management system is accomplished. All modules and interfaces can work well together. And problems and improvements are summarized, where we provide lots of suggestions and methods for the following works.
