The Design And Implementation Of University Integrated Archive Management System

In insitutions of higher education, varieties of files will be inevitably produced in their own development process, for example, teaching files, technology archives, school student records, staff personnel files, important documents related to school reform measures and all kind of documents about infrustrate. How to manage these files simply, standardly and efficiently becomes an important issue that university leaders must consider of. With the popularization of computers and the development of computer technology and network technology, file management digitization becomes an inevitable trend. Comprehensive file management can not only lower the costs, but also greatly reduce the manual labor, improve quality and efficiency, make the using of files more convenient. All these make file management automatized under the request of standardization.In this paper, we analysised the real need of integrated file management of Institute of Disarster Prevention, and discussed the design principles and implemention scheme of the university integrated file management system in detail. After investigation and survey of some departments of Institute of Disaster Prevention, we got the demand of business process and system function of several of department. Finally, we designed and implemented the comprehensive file management system of the University in accordance with the procedures of software engineering, including overall architecture and backend database.The university integrated file management system use the architecture of client/server and browser/server. PowerBuilder is the development tool, Windows 2008 is the server operating system, SQL Server 2008 is the back-end database. The system hsa flexible configuration and strong pervasion.
