Optical-based network management platform develop by widely optical device usage. Optical device network management system collects and analyzes optical running status, including communications status, working voltage. By this platform, the client can query current optical status the operation history through the browser, the client application and other methods.Optical monitoring now is mainly by a bus connection a server and the optical device. One server corresponds to one optical device. It is through a PC monitoring software installed on your computer, then this computer via RS232 or RS485 bus or whatever connections in accordance with the provisions of the agreement inquiry optical device stauts. A optical device generally installed above the state passing module. With the extensive application of Optical previously that the use of a small amount of Optical serial management approaches can not be applied to a large number of Optical management. This paper presents based network management platform based on Optical Ethernet.Optical network management system includes optical devices, communication modules, database, and network management platforms etc. Generally, it is characterized by connected communication module between the optical devices and the server. The push and pull method are used to get optical status, and platform send the commands by communication device. The information of optical devices is stored in the database, including not only the current state of information, but also the historical operating information for a certain period of time which can be set by the user. Management platform provides Web and C/S mode, let administrators and supervisor to manage and monitor the operation of Optical.This paper describes the overall structure of optical device network management platform, then it introduces the overall system database design and interface. After that, the system implementation is described. Finally how to test this platform is presented.
