With the development ofthe Internet, text, graphics, images, sound, represented by the increasingly richmultimedia information, people and efficientsearch and retrieval ofinformationhave become increasingly demanding. Whichinformation is alsoa geometricincreasein multiples, how to extractvaluable informationin the massofdata, which requires a verypowerful dataanalysis toolsto achieve thisaimto growthanks tolaterdata mining techniques. Data miningtechniquesand mathematical statistics, artificial intelligence andhigh performance databaseintegrationwhichenables it totap thevast amounts ofinformationunknown tothe networkdata stream, and is able toflow dataof knownand unknowntraffic dataclustering analysis, increasethe intelligence ofthesystem.Developmentof the campus networkhas becomea microcosm ofthe Internetdevelopment.With the continuousexpansion ofthe sizeofthe campus networkandthe increasingnumber of usersof students, the campus networkhas become animportant way forstudents to understand theexternal environmenthas becomeanimportant part ofstudents’ learningand life,and thereforethe security and stabilityof the campus networkto becomethe campusnetworkmanagersneed to solvetheproblem.During theoperation of the campusnetwork, the data flowof the campus networkinto normaland abnormalnetwork trafficnetwork traffic,network trafficanalysisnormalnormal stateof the campus networkcanhave a clearunderstanding ofthe analysisof network trafficanomaliescan be analyzedcampusnetworkwheresecurity threats, and then takeeffective securitymeasureswhenset. In thecampus networksecuritymanagement, campus networktraffic monitoring and analysisisanimportant part of thecampus networksecurity management, its other securitymanagement practicesguidingrole in providingimportant datafor decision-makingon the basis ofthe network administrator.Through the analysisofcommon networktraffic monitoringtechnology,combined withthe actual situation ofcollegenetworkis proposedcampus networktraffic monitoring and analysissystembased on data mining. Thetraffic monitoring systembased ondatabase technology, data mining technologyand computer programmingtechnology, throughthe collection ofnetwork data, standardized and stored in thedata warehouse.Withdata mining,data analysis moduleclusteringandclassification algorithmsto classifydata analysis.
