Research On Intelligent Traffic Signal Optimization Based On Image Matching Technology

The development of traffic is becoming more and more rapidly in modern society. People rely more and more on the transportation system, whether the traffic is smooth or not become more and more important. Nowadays we use advanced communication technology, to develop the intelligent traffic management system. We also use control and information technology to provide a reasonable allocation of signal distribution time, and this can solve the congestion problem effectively. So the traffic conditions which references real-time is to design a more advanced program.The intelligent transportation system can effective and scientific arrangement of signal timing, and it will become one of the important research directions of city traffic control system.The paper introduces the research method of Intelligent Traffic Signal Optimization, and it is based on image matching technology. With the calculation of traffic waiting in queue length and the actual congestion, we use the improved adaptive algorithm to get the optimal signal timing scheme. First, this paper introduces the use of intelligent traffic in today’s world. Then the paper describes the details of the theoretical basis of intelligent transportation which relates to the knowledge of the monitoring images. Then I expound the city traffic signal and control system with the intelligent monitoring which is applied to. Then the paper use lots of space to introduce the design thought of intelligent traffic signal system. Two aspects of hardware and software are described in detail,and how to get the realization and the composition of the system. Finally, the intelligent traffic signal system example tests are carried out. Through the test of comparison data, it shows that the system can improve the traffic through rate, and alleviate the traffic congestion. This paper implements the main research results as follows: 1. The theoretical basis of image matching, the establishment of a new combination of the two kinds of algorithm of image matching algorithm, which has fast calculation speed and high. 2. The image matching based on intelligent transportation system, the system has real-time analysis and treatment on traffic and adjust the traffic signal timing can be dynamically.The realization of the intelligent traffic signal control can solve the problems of city road traffic jam and make the signal better coordination according to the traffic flow. It can provide us a scientific and reasonable traffic.
