Office automation can be realized by the information exchange platform. It is a new trend for office in contemporary society and a technical application field of computer industry. It is also the product of social information in our country. Nowadays, the Network technology is very popular. The application of information exchange platform is developing rapidly. While we exchange and share information, we can realize the network office. It also greatly improves the management level and work efficiency.Information exchange platform can handle business, share information, and meet the practical requirements of various departments. In this thesis, an information communication platform is designed according to the specific requirements of departments.Framework is the main technical in this thesis. Struts、Hibernate and Spring architecture is adopted by this paper. We design an information communication platform which is flexible, safe and easy to be operated. We use the socket technique to help staffs communicate with each other. The platform has the main functions of instant communication, SMS alert, E-mail management, official document management, meeting management, document sharing,announcement management and suggestion box. At first, this thesis illustrates the background and significance of this system and the situation on both domestic and abroad. Then, the needed technology of this system is summarized. We also make a system requirements analysis and an overall design. At last, we test the designed system.We use the socket technique to help staffs have an instant message. We also use multi-thread technology for multiple staffs to communicate with each other. The information exchange platform satisfies the basic communication requirement of the staffs and improves the efficiency of the organization.
