Phase shifter is an important part of the modern phased-array antenna. According to the design target, a L-band high-power divider and phase shifter is studied in this thesis. The thesis mainly studies the simulation and design of high-power microwave devices using a variety of simulation software and MATLAB software. The method can achieve the goal of success for a design.The main research content is divided into three parts.The first part of this thesis introduces the ANSYS Icepak software, ANSOFT HFSS software, ANSOFT Designer software, MATLAB software, the principle of power divider, the basic principle of PIN diode, and the principle of diode phase shifter. This part mainly describes the principle of several kinds of diode phase shifter.The second part of this thesis mainly describes the design of power divider. The divider Taylor distribution comprehensive program and high-power divider power capacity analysis program was wrote in MATLAB. These programs can improve the design efficiency. This part also describes how to use ANSOFT Designer and ANSOFT HFSS to collaborative simulate microwave devices. The effect of isolation resistance distribution parameters is expatiated. A special shaped structure of resistance pattern is introduced. This isolation resistance can improve the performance of high-power divider.The third part of this thesis mainly describes the design of phase shifter. The thermal simulation of PIN diode circuit was completed based on the Icepak software. The method improves the PIN diode lifetime in high-power condition. When simulating the phase shifter model in ANSOFT Designer, we give full play to the advantages of collaborative simulation. In this way, we can optimize the performance of phase shifter in eight phase states. Fixed attenuator is composed of two kinds of different thickness of the microstrip circuit board. Its loss and phase is equal to the phase shifter.The co-simulation method is used in the design process. Gold strip, solder joints, diode, resistance and other discontinuities were simulated in the ANSOFT HFSS software. Then the whole model was collaborative simulated in ANSOFT Designer software. The co-simulation method makes the simulate time of whole model less than a minute. It solved the problem of simulation of complex microwave components.The trial result shows that the phase shift accuracy is ±1.3° over the whole band of 1.28GHz-1.38 GHz with the VSWR less than 1.27, and the insertion loss is lower than 1.35 dB. All of performances are better than design requirements. It proves that the design method achieve the goal of success for a design.
