With the development of modern integrated electronic information system for real-time data transmission services have become increasingly demanding. Traditional communication network has been unable to meet demand, and Fibre Channel can support multiple transmission rates, a variety of topologies and multiple upper layer protocols has become a high-bandwidth embedded high-speed communication networks, high real-time, high reliability, high scalability solutions. But the technology has been monopolized by foreign few manufacturers, such as Brocade, and FC technology is no uniform standards in China, Especially in terms of FC network real-time problem and no uniform standard solutions, FC must develop self-control solutions..Real-time technical issues for the FC network will research in this paper, combination of technical feasibility, select the Fibre Channel network as the backbone of a specific network environment analysis and technical validation studies. The main work in the following areas:1. Fibre Channel protocols and PCI Express bus protocols were studied, Fibre Channel port type, transmission service type, network architecture, IPFC protocol and PCI Express bus DMA control technology has been the focus of research.2. Conduct research on real-time technologies of FC network, From priority packet scheduling design and data-based high-speed transceiver design is proposed for real-time design of FC network interface card, From the switch fabric design and exchange priority support is proposed for real-time design of FC network Switch.3. Completion of the FC network interface card and FC network switch design, schematic and hardware design, debug and development, as well as the completion of the main FPGA-based FC network technology and real-time simulation.4. We build FC network environment for real-time testing, the FC network interface cards and real-time function FC network switches were tested, and the test results are analyzed.Test results show that, FC network interface card has two FC ports, rate is 2.125 Gbps,, supports PCI-E × 4 channels, supports for FC network access communication capabilities, supports for IP over FC protocol mapping, is to meet real-time requirements; FC network switch has 12 ports,rate is 2.125 Gbps, the exchange capacity of not less than 24 Gbps, maximum switching delay is less than 30 us. FC network interface cards and FC network switches are meeting the specific requirements of network data transmission capabilities and performance for the realization of a comprehensive multi-network integration and information exchange to support high-speed, real-time, controllable and reliable information in real time transmission of the foundation, but also for the study of a new generation of integrated communication system is important.
