Research And Realization Of Literature Resource Evaluation And Push System Based On WEB

A library is the center of literature information in any college, It works for collecting, processing, storing and spreading knowledge. With the project research and implementation, it is helpful to enhance further communication between a library and its readers, to provide more humanity service for scientific research, teaching and learning; to improve the college management mode from passiveness/obscuration to initiative/opening. By the interaction, a library can understand users’ present emphases on working and learning, information tropism, custom manner etc. which can make a foundation for library to establish personal information database and special database; At the same time, it will become a good lead to literature resource construction on the base of network and computation, assure effective utilization of literature resource, make a more reasonable and scientific collection of books in library than before.The literature resource evaluation and pushing system runs in IIS on Window Server 2003 and has been realized with ASP and SQL Server 2003. The user can login once the user’s computer connected to the network. The system will provide some services to users as follows:Resource evaluation: including user’s evaluation, evaluation analysis, user’s evaluation navigation etc.; user’s evaluation and analysis is to evaluate the resource content, to analyze user’s evaluation, to combine daily resource using condition, to show how much the literature is commended. Evaluation navigation is according to result of the degree of literature commended, to instruct resource order and construction, to have an oriented action for resource utilized by user.Resource push: including bibliotheca push, recommendation rank, special resource push, personal special push, push of user sharing resource. resource push has two ways of librarian push and user push, the library is pursuant to the reader’s requirement, it can process the existing resource and push the many kinds of processed information resource to the reader by bibliotheca, special data, ranked recommendation; In addition, the user can share with other users by platform pushing resource, such as the research consulting information, test data and submission of faculty preordering bibliotheca.Resource management: including the safety auditing of resource, data standardization construction, data organization and conformity, data about data indication, data establishment etc.Mutual intercommunication: including forum management, message board, message bulletin column and suggestion box. The forum supplies communicated space between user and user, user and librarian on reading interest. User can evaluate the existing collected literature and provide the reference for recommendation rank and special data construction via message board. Message bulletin column issues related information, i.e. book fair and new book condition. The suggestion box is to collect users’ comments, requirement and advice on library.There is more advantage of knowing collection and utilizing the collection after the system runs and is tested on the intranet of my college. The pertinence and purposefulness the user utilize the resource becomes stronger; therefore the system is widely recognized by teachers and students and has important and practical value as well..
