Study On The Characteristics Of Xu Ying’s Economic Reports

This is a study mainly examines Xu Ying’s Economic Report from 1937 to 1948 on "Ta Kung Pao". The principal purpose is to explore what characteristics do these economic reports have, and what is the meaning behind it, to provide a reference for the current economic report.From the perspective of quantitative history, content analysis and text analysis in four respects which are the time, the angle, the topic and the form of the reports, this article found that there are five characteristics about Xu Ying’s economic reports: reporting a higher proportion of the economy, reporting the largest proportion of heavy industry, digging problems behind the events, showing the local economy more than a historical context analysis and reporting in the form of diversity. In this process, the social development that provides a context for its content clues. In the same time, the framework of "Ta Kung Pao" has its own distinctive role in promoting the formation of its report. In addition, the growth environment and the subject knowledge make it possible that Xu Ying has a different perspective coverage from others. Thus, not only the topic should meet the social situation, the ability of improving their literacy and explaining problems image are also equally important.
