Health is a basic condition for the survival of people and the necessary conditions for happiness. However, with the progress of society, the rhythm of life is accelerating, people always be busy with work, but ignore the importance of health. In recent years, with the rapid development of IT, the application of computer in the medical field is growing vigorously. It is not only very helpful to control many chronic diseases and the so-called "sub-health" by using computer system to manage health data and implement health monitoring and forecasting, and to greatly promote the improvement of national health level, but also conducive to the innovation of medical information technology. The rapid development of cellular network technology and the proliferation of various mobile devices, intelligent devices and personal electronic medical equipments make it possible to collect and access personal health data whenever and whereever you want. Therefore, personal health data management technology emerges as the times require.This paper focuses on applying temporality-awareness into personal health information management. Currently, many document collections are closely related to the time, such as webpage, news, blog, electronic health records and so on, the temporal information in personal health data is particularly important for personal health management. However, the traditional retrieval method is based on keyword search, and its result is not satisfactory when retrieving the collection of temporal documents, because the reason is that the retrieved contents are events which are happened in specific period, the events are significantly time-dependent. Time dimension hasn’t been particularly treated in the traditional personal health management.Therefore, in this paper the data, function and performance requirements of personal health management system are analyzed in detail. And then, time-extended E-R model is employed to design a temporal personal health data storage model, including the concept model, logic datamodel and information classification code of database. Moreover, a new personal health management system architecture has been designed by combining knowledge management, content management and social network management, the general function structure of this system its subsystems is designed, and C-U(Create-Use) matrix between function and database is presented. A temporal information retrieval model is designed to retrieve the health temporal information effectively. At last, the corresponding prototype system is designed and implemented to verifie the three-dimensional software architecture of personal health management system which combines content, knowledge and social network, temporality-aware storage model, temporal retrieval model.
