As one of the key technologies in the fifth generation mobile communication system, 60 GHz millimeter wave has attracted more and more attention. It has many advantages such as high spectrum available, high rate, free license etc. This thesis studies the 60GHz millimeter wave channel propagation characteristics, propagation mechanisms, channel models and channel parameters as well as their correlation properties, which is important for design and simulation of 60GHz wireless communication system.The main work of this paper can be summarized as follows:First, the propagation mechanisms including reflection, diffraction and propagation characteristics of 60GHz millimeter-wave wireless channel are introduced and investigated, which has important significance for analysis of the overall performance of the channel as well as for the simulations of the channel models and parameters. Second, we introduce the 60GHz millimeter wave channel parameters, then focus on the analysis of the measurement data based on the typical indoor corridor environment to derive the channel parameters and find the distributions of the channel parameters. Third, we presents the correlation characteristics of 60GHz channel parameters in the LOS and NLOS scenarios, respectively with different the antennas. The channel parameters include the number of paths, RMS delay spread, K-factor and shadow fading. The results show that these channel parameters in the LOS scenario are highly correlated compared with their correlation coefficients in the NLOS case generally. In the LOS scenario, the correlation coefficients are higher for horn-omni than horn-horn antenna configurations. Linear models of the number of paths with RMS delay spread, K-factor and shadow fading are established for predicting channel parameters from one to another. Finally, according to the channel parameters and the ray tracing channel modeling method,60GHz millimeter wave wireless channel model and channel capacities are analyzed.This paper makes a comprehensive understanding and research for the 60GHz millimeter wave wireless channel propagation, which provide the reference for the simulation and design of the new radio system at 60GHz millimeter wave band.
