With the rapid development of wireless communication and Mobile Internet technology, more and more people depend on the wireless network that bring real-time, speediness and convenience. Especially the use of wireless service in an indoor environment situation occupies most of proportion. Therefore, improving indoor wireless communications coverage and radio propagation rate becomes a hot topic in the field of communication. This paper studies the propagation properties of wireless communication in the room with MIMO technology.This paper firstly analyzes the propagation characteristics of the electromagnetic wave in the air, and discuss the statistical characteristics of the signal with the help of fading model, which provides a theoretical foundation for further analysis of wireless channel. Based on the general communication model, this paper analyzes transmission signal attenuation in the indoor environment combining with the phenomenon of electromagnetic wave and the statistical characteristics of the wireless channel and loss through a variety of model. Secondly we analyzes the impact on capacity of MIMO wireless channel,which correlation of the wireless channel brings. Thirdly, based on the combination of diversity technology and space-time coding techniques for wireless communications, this paper analyzes both two kinds of technology can reduce the correlation of MIMO channel, so as to improve the capacity of wireless channel in indoor environment. Finally, this paper simulates MIMO technology of the indoor environment based on the MATLAB simulation platform. The experimental results show that it can better ensure the transmission capacity and rate of wireless communication to use of MIMO technology in the indoor environment. At the same time, using both diversity and space-time coding technology can reduce the error rate and improve the BER performance.
