Recently,3D demonstrate applications are more and more used in landscape and architectural design with the development of computer graphics. However, the development of 3D demonstrate applications have several problems:first of all, the demonstrate applications of landscape design use similar 3D effects while these effects cannot be reused; secondly, when a demonstrate application has been accomplished, it is hard to update the scenes and the models; thirdly, large-scale plants shading are always needed in landscape demonstrate application, while traditional rendering can’t take both reality and efficient into account.In order to solve the above problems, in this paper we developed a platform for developing landscape demonstrate applications. The platform allow user to import landscape scene and generate applications with easy interaction. Developing applications with our platform make effects and models reusable, and large-scale plants rendering realistically and effectively. Our contributions include:This paper proposes a method to present weather and seasons changing in demonstrate applications of landscape design. By adjusting weather and season parameters, users can control the weather and season effects in the application.This paper proposes an approach for rendering large-scale falling leaves in real time. We create leaves falling trajectories dataset with experiment data, and representing trajectories with low-dimensional features. Then we reconstruct the trajectory in the GPU, accomplish the real-time rendering of falling leaves.
