When the ageing of the population entered the stage of rapid growing, the health problems of the elderly people got extensive attention and aging service system design industry entered a golden period as well.any innovative products emerged in both domestic and overseas elderly health markets, like paper diaper for the aged, smart crutch, smart glasses and so on, all showing humanized care to the elderly people. Now adays, the aging population problem of our country is extremely urgent, under the background that most Chinese elderly people chose living at homes, self-health-monitoring of the elderly people has become a pain spot.Has been demonstrated medically, grip strength can forecast the death rate for various pathogenesis effectively, and is a vital index forecasting the risk of many illnesses, like cardiovascular diseases, male cancer, etc. the measurement of grip strength has reliable results as well as easy methods and tools. Through analyzing the features of the current grip dynamometer, this article argued the service system designing of grip dynamometer for the elderly people, with aspects of user psychology, user usage scenario, user experience and so on, thus tracked out an emotional way for the grip dynamometer service system. At the prophase of the investigation, we compared the current grip dynamometers from each other, and then analyzed their advantage and shortage. Then we researched the user habits of the aged. Through questionnaire investigation, we studied the need of users in depth, and repositioned the functions of the target grip dynamometer service system. The result of investigation showed that the product service system for the elderly people must meet the need of ease of use, safety and comfort, and make sure that the aged can use it on their own after a brief introduction, in stead of imposing operating courses on them. We finally worked out a brand new usage form of grip dynamometer, which collected users’ personalized data, composited users’ daily data, transfered the input data to health indexes, and demonstrated them clearly to users in the way of chart. This usage form of grip dynamometer would guide the elderly people monitoring and managing their own health as well as provide knowledge of health to strengthen the consciousness of preventing the health risk, which could improve the user experience of the current products. Based on this new form of experience, we designed a grip dynamometer combined both software and hardware for the elderly people. Finally, we proved our service system could help the elderly people monitoring their own health state effectively by feasibility test with the form of user interviews.With the facts that the self-monitoring problem of the aged are paid continuous attention, the new aged people’ study ability on new technical products is promoting continuously and the industry of products and services for the people is getting diversified, innovative product service systems will emerge continuously to alleviate the safety problem of lives in retirement and bring the elderly people more care and help.
