Under the strong impact of new media and new communication technologies, traditional media decline significantly.Compared to the twilight of print,although the television industry is still flourishing,but the new media representated by video site has a greater impact on the television industry,and the television industry is met with a plight of continual loss of TV subscribers and users accelerating changing mediaconsumption behavior.With the new new media representated by social media thriving, the television industry is faced with the social revolution of the reshuffle.At the same time, in response to the multiple challenges and opportunities brought about by social mediaera,Our country’s television industry shows a lot of new changes in those aspects of production and creation, broadcast schedule and marketing mode.Social scene in front of the TV is becoming a normal behaviour, social media continues to reshape the audience’s viewing habits. How to clarify the internal relationship and the mechanism between television and social media,and how to integrate the two gene to adapt the user’s consumption demand,this is related to the future of innovational direction and mode of existence in the television industry.This paper takes the social development of television as the research topic, firstly summarizes the development of social media,and then describes the motive and opportunityof social development of television media.This paper argues that its motivation is the television industry is facing the dilemma of competitive upgrade, the next social revolution caused by social media and the limitation of lacking viewing experience under the impact of new media. Meanwhile, the television industry is faced with the development opportunity brought by social revolution, such as social media can enhance the program ratings,help improve programs,enhance program participation and make brand programs.This paper applys the theory of 5W, conducting empirical analysis on operational status quo of six provincial satellite televisions using social media from five levels of the interactive subjects,interactive channels, interactive content,interactive objects, interactive effects,and sum upthat the social operation of our television has six issues aboutsocial development varing, operational thinking needing change,operational processes not standarding,lack of depth data analysis,businessmodels needing excavating,technology research lagging behind.Finally, this paper presents the coping road of the social development of our country’s television.At the micro level, the television media should intensify builing a multi-dimensionalcommunicationplatform,makingoperationalsystemscientifically,cre ating high-quality content topic, building diverse network of relationships;at the macro level,the television industry must achieve social transformation and upgrade from six aspects about the concept, organization, production, marketing, technology, industry.
