Virtualization technology fundamentally change the structure of the network data center needs, especially the requirements of Virtual Machine dynamic migration of the second layer network area is large, at present, the data center which in virtualization is changing to cloud data center now, with the rapid growth of users’ application data volume and the number of virtual machines are rising, a physical host need to run several of virtual machine, so virtual machine migration as well as the data exchange needs have a great demand. The traditional three-layers data center network fream of the original design is to solve the problem between the serial data communication, It can not meet the server virtual machine transversely between the large amounts of data communication. So, prior to the three layer network architecture is the mainstream data center already cannot satisfy their needs. The traditional network fream emerge as the times require. The main work of this paper is as follows:(1) First of all, from the advantages of large two layer network technology, such as an increase in the data center service reliability, improve the flexibility, reduce the cost of operation and maintenance, the virtual machine to dynamic migration in whole range of the data center. It can make data without blocking, low latency forwarding, and support network flat network topology and can make full use of the switch between a plurality of data forwarding path.(2) Explain why traditional two layer network scale is difficult to expand, the main reason of traditional data center spanning tree structure although can prevent the emergence of the loop, but due to the use of more redundant link to link of a certain size too complex lead to further expand the number of link access is very difficult. In the actual network planning, from the forwarding performance, utilization rate and reliability considerations, as far as possible to control the number of access to the network.(3) The by contrast to large-scale two layer network technology in virtual switch technology and frame encapsulation tunnel, analyzes the the design core idea, similarities and differences, and their respective advantages and they were applicable to the scene. Through the comparison of the data, verify the large two layer network technologycompared to the traditional spanning tree structure advantages.The innovation of this paper:Due to the large second tier network architecture is the necessary technique for data centers, large-scale and cloud, in order to improve the efficiency of data processing, centralized computing resources, and large data centers is the future direction of development, large second tier network architecture will have greater use of space development. At present in the academic analysis of large two layer network is very limited. This paper begins with the introduction of technology and application of this architecture by comparing the actual, construction and application of the large scale network layer architecture of data center and put forward the reference.
