Data centers are the core part of information system. With the advent of cloud computing era, cloud data centers become the development trend of data centers in the future. In cloud data centers there are typically thousands of physical nodes which various services and applications running on. The innovation and development of virtualization and live migration technology will play a greater value for the construction of cloud data centers. Server virtualization is a trend, research on live migration technology is also essential. Server virtualization and live migration technology will bring more significant benefits to the safe operation and stable service of data center over time. This paper relies on the actual situation of a hall data center, analysis trend of the construction of cloud data centers, focuses on the server virtualization technology and dynamic migration, acquires some innovation and achievements.This paper discusses the situation of server resources, describes the trend of cloud data center by taking a hall data center as an example, introduces and analyzes three major server virtualization technology and traditional live migration, obtained some problems that traditional dynamic migration faced: lack of hotspots detection, cannot automatically initiate the migration, repeat transfer memory page, etc., lay a foundation for new architecture. Finally, it studies live migration through the source code, present design of improved live migration architecture, study the algorithms to achieve main modules.Based on the above analysis and research, this paper put forward an integration program, designs new dynamic migration architecture, builds experimental environment to test. According to the test result to evaluate: the proposed server resource integration plan can reduce the number of servers, save operating costs, improve resource utilization rate, the new live migration architecture can effectively improve migration performance.
