With the development of science and technology, a variety of demands continue to put forward, positioning technology scenarios are also increasingly abundant, especially in the harsh natural environment or a wide range of properties, manpower al one can not get each moving target specific location information. The current positioning system is mostly based on GPS positioning, but in a specific area, such as a large coal field, mine shaft, complex indoor environments, the accuracy of GPS are often una ble to meet the requirements or not properly positioned. So to achieve precise positioning within a specific area will become a research trend.Combined with the actual needs of enterprises, proposed an improved location alg orithm, and we can study the hardware environment of the positioning system, on this basis, we can complete the software of positioning system.First, with the analysis for current location algorithm, we can find an algorithm in line with the actual situation, and the lack of algorithm can be proposed, so we can proposed DV-Hop algorithm, which based on the Leapfrog algorithm, and make simulation analysis on the improved algorithm.Secondly, by looking ZigBee information to complete their learning of protocol stack and networking processes, on this basis, to build hardware environment of the positioning system, learning the basic use of IAR EW software and tutorials of application development, in IAR by EW integrated development environment to achiev e the participation of the gateway location, reference node, the node’s position in soft ware development, through in-depth understanding of the positioning node localization parameters proposed positioning algorithm to optimize the parameters, and be reflected in the positioning system.Finally, we develop Positioning system software which within a specified area. By positioning system, we can configure the relevant parameters of positioning node and the coordinate of reference node in the entire hardware environment, in the real-time location monitoring interface we can view all of the real-time location of all vehicles which in the monitoring region. It can be achieved the coordinate calculation on the vehicle throughout to determine whether the vehicle arrived at the designated location, and it can store in the database to provides query capabilities, as well as the information of maintenance and query capabilities on vehicle.
