Design And Implementation Of Project Management Information System For Power Design Enterprise

With the deep adjustment of the power industry of our country, the business in design enterprises has showed a trend of diversified development. In the meanwhile, some enterprises are also facing the requirement to transform from design institute with single function to a comprehensive engineering company integrating design, management, construction, purchasing, and construction into a whole. The diversification and complication of the business have proposed more severe challenge to the project management of the engineering.In addition, with the continuous deepening of the global informationization process, more and more enterprise managers have begun to care about and agree with the adoption of the method combining information measure with modern project management to conduct scientific engineering project management. The informationization of project management could effectively enhance the management level of enterprise projects, enhance enterprise competitiveness, and promote the good development of the enterprise. In the meanwhile, the quick development of information technology, network technology, communication technology, and computer software and hardware has also created good conditions for enterprises to implement informationization of project management.This paper has discussed the background for the implementation of enterprise project management in power design enterprise and the development dynamic status in both China and foreign countries, analyzes the problems existing in project management of enterprises in current period, learns and utilizes the basic theories of project management and project management information system, explores the methods for application of information technology and project management science in the project management of design enterprises, finishes analysis on the procedure analysis and functional needs of this system, plans the principles for the development of system, and designs the purposes for system design. In addition, it utilizes the methods of structured analysis and systematic structured analysis, and completes the overall layout of the system and business function design. It also integrates the needs of the actual engineering project management of Anhui Electric Design Institute to develop a project information management system with rich functions, which utilizes the methods with production as the main line to realize project management of the whole process, greatly enhance the quality and efficiency of the design and management, and provides necessary help to the management decision making for enterprises.
