| Petrochemical industry is one of the pillar industries in China and plays a unique and special role in national economy and social development. However, because petrochemical enterprises have complex process and many facilities, they have urgent needs of real-time data operation information platform that can measure all the data timely, accurately and comprehensively.Firstly, this paper studies the features of the real-time database technology and global trends, and demonstrates the advancement of its functions and the applicability of its data collection needs in process-oriented enterprise. Secondly, this paper studies OPC technology’s development history, technical characteristics and practical function to prove its effects on DCS "islands of information" data integration. Thirdly, using IP21 real-time database as a mature product samples, this paper studies its specific functions and the overall application of petrochemical enterprises, further demonstrates its applicability in the petrochemical and other process-oriented enterprises. Finally, selecting Henan refined wax plant as a best practice on IP21 real-time database; this paper elaborates on systems development process and application results.By studying, the paper proves real-time database has a great role in promoting data source unification, data sharing, and business processes standardization. As operation information real-time data platform, it has a significant supporting role of production optimization and performance improvement to significantly reduce the coordinate workload and to strengthen collaboration between different departments. |
