With the rapid development of Internet advertising, a series of problems occur, one of which is cyber erotic advertising. Homepages of web portals have great amount of users and high traffic and contain a lot of erotic advertisements, which is harmful. It’s a hard problem to restrict and forbidden Internet erotic advertising since Internet is virtual, open and anonymous.The thesis could be divided into four parts. Chapter 1 reviewed current studies on pornography and Internet advertisements, introduced content of this study. Chapter 2 concluded the definitions and judge criterions for Internet erotic advertising based on the connotation of online advertising and its development in China, and summarized the phenomenon of cyber erotic advertising abuse. Chapter 3 took the four most popular web portal sites in China as examples, explored the contents, form and propagate model of Internet erotic advertisements, and analyzed the reasons from three aspects, namely publisher, media and receiver of the Internet erotic advertisements propagation. Chapter 4 studied on how to solve the problem of controlling and restricting the Internet erotic advertising against the reasons concluded in Chapter 3.Studying the propagate model and characteristics of Internet erotic advertising by taking the four most popular Chinese web portals and suggesting supervise strategies according to the reasons of prevailing of Internet erotic advertising benefits the regulating of Internet advertising and ease the problem of restricting Internet pornography, which is important to the healthy development of China Internet.
