Design And Implementation Of An Anti-plagiarism Online Examination System

With the continuous development of information technology, enterprise information management level continues to increase. With regard to the assessment and evaluation method for the staff, the traditional paper-based examination is unable to meet the need of information management. More and more enterprises and institutions began to replace traditional examination with the online examination. After years of research and practice, the function and performance of the online examination have improved a lot, so does reliability and impartiality of examination results.Online exam systems generally control test fraud by limiting operation system’s function or using monitoring module to monitor the exam process. However, these measures can not effectively prevent the phenomenon of peeping each other’s papers, which exists in the traditional examination. Candidates may steal a glance of the paper answers next to them when using the same paper in a unified organization examination. This paper presents the concept and a calculation method for paper item position similarity, establishes a transformed paper generation model to rearrange paper items and generates test papers of different item sequence, selects and distributes the test papers according to the IP address based on the position similarity. This paper uses service-oriented architecture to design and implementation of the online examination system. The system embraces function of system management, item management and online test and something else. The system uses a genetic algorithm to generate base paper and uses the transformed paper generation model to generate paper for each examinee.Analysis and summary on the actual use of the system show that the anti-plagiarism online examination system can produce examination paper of reasonable arrangement with low degree of item position similarity of paper items for examinee sitting next to each other. By using the online examination system, we can reduce the probability of peeping each other between the examinees and improve the fairness of the online exam.
