Research And Application Of Key Technology In Web Examination Systems

In recent years, with the rapid development of information technology, computer network technology and database technology has been widely applied to all areas of society. Under the circumstances, colleges and universities of domestic and foreign have begun to undertake the research in how to apply the computer technology to the teaching, and build the Digital Campus as a way to improve teaching efficiency and reduce the workload of teachers. Due to the advantage of timely, accurate, convenient, cost-effective, the examination system becoming a hot research point for university researchers.Combined with the level of the students and the characteristics of the examination, the article carried out the research and development of the Web Examination System. The network examination system is designed and based on B/S three-tier, using modern computer network and database technology, such as Java language, Eclipse, Tomcat and SQL Server 2000 database management. The system can implement teachers and candidates management, item bank management, paper generation, automatic making, performance management, paper analysis and other functions.The paper analyses and describes the paper generation techniques and marking papers techniques of the subjective item in detail. At first, it analyses and researches the scheme of generating papers and builds the generating papers model, then generated initial population by making use of the conditions of user input in order to save time. Secondly, by analyzing the conventional thinking activities of teachers during the subjective questions marking, the system simulates the marking process, adopts the method of combining the fuzzy One-way proximity matching degrees algorithm and the Similarity model, to make subjective questions automatically. The technology could judge the omitted writing, the unwanted writing and the wrong writing of students'answer accurately, and give scores to the students objectively. At last, through the statistical analysis of the results of the test, it can draw a conclusion and feedback it to teachers, so that to play a guidance role in educational administration of school, teachers teaching and study of the students.The system can implement the automatic management action of test conveniently and effectively, and reducing the exam period.
