With the development of microprocessor technology and communication technology, the embedded technology and Internet of things (IoT) technology, bring profound changes to consumer electronic products. People pay more attention to the user experience of products. People have developed different functions to meet the personalized requirements for embedded system platforms. However, these techniques cannot cause a fundamental change in the field of industry and mechanical control. Especially, in the field of bridge detection equipment, most of equipment is still in the stage of mechanized operation, which cannot form scale in the aspect of informationalization and networking. Hence, there are many problems to be solved. This paper designs a kind of embedded network control system for bridge detection machine that works outdoors to achieve real-time data acquisition and mechanical control. This paper develops a user interface on mobile terminal in order to realize the data acquisition and the mechanical operation conveniently, and provides a solution for intelligent mechanical inspection equipment.To meet the demand mentioned above, in this paper, we develop a network control system based on STM32using the embedded stack uIP. This network control system with control function and network communication, is powerful and has been used in various fields. Particularly, the embedded network control system, which is flexible and compact, has been widely used in the engineering application. Firstly, we introduce the design principle of the network control system, and put forward three kinds of schemes. We choose the scheme "Embedded system+Network module" based on the ideal of "be reliable and easy to update". It can not only meet the practical requirements but be easy to realize. Secondly, at the part of hardware design, we discuss schematic diagram and PCB design. This paper adopts a low-power-cost STM32F103based on ARM Cotex-M3cell as microcontroller and the embedded Ethernet chip ENC28J60with28pins to build the network system platform. In addition, we give the detailed design of the peripheral circuits, such as I/O module, power module, and so on. At the part of software design, considering that the traditional TCP/IP protocol stack is complex and huge and is unsuitable for the embedded systems, we adopt the embedded protocol stack---IP protocol stack, and design the transplant process of the whole protocol stack in detail. We mainly focus on the implementation of the four basic protocols in code, for instance, ARP/TCP/ICMP/IP protocol in the uIP stack, which are also very fundamental in traditional TCP/IP protocol. We have made two editions of the upper machine software which are running on the computer terminal and mobile phone terminal respectively, in order to show the variety of the network control system application. Finally, a series of functional verifications of the system have shown that the bridge detection machine network control system proposed can meet the design requirements (e.g. connectivity and stability), and achieve the objective of intelligence and miniaturization of bridge detection equipment.
