The receiver with software radio technology has good flexibility and openness towork in multi-frequencies and multi-standards. The software radio is based on moderncommunication theory, digital signal processing and micro-electronics technology,and is the development hotspot of the radio communication technology.The study of this paper places emphasis on software radio receiver technologyand takes FM receiver based on software radio technology as a breakthrough point.Firstly, the basic theories in software radio, including signals sampling, multi ratedigital signal process (MRDSP), efficient digital filter and orthogonal transformationare discussed. Secondly, it designs the simulation model of IF digital software radioreceiver, analyses the signal process flow of receiver, sets the parameter of everybasic module, and then simulation is accomplished in MATLAB. Thirdly, it probesinto the IF digital process platform, analyses the principle and main implementingtechnology of high-speed ADC module, digtal down-conversion (DDC)module anddigital signal process module, and then expatiate on the hardware system architectureof software radio.The software radio receiver platform studied in this paper has excellentflexibility, universality, reconfigurability and upgradeability, and demonstrates theessential idea of software radio. It provides a commercialization solution of softwareradio receiver and experiment equipment for the further research of software radiotechnology.
