For the direction-finding station operating at VHF/UHF band, the accuracy of direction-finding is higher and higher in test site.. But in the actual environment, especially in city areas, the direction finding is greatly impacted by the surrounding high rise buildings. Therefore the accuracy of the practical measurement is not that high as in the indicators.In this research, the finding results at different directions are obtained in a design of experiment. The measurement error at each direction is calculated. A list function of the measurement error with direction variation is then established and an extrapolation function is created based on this list function. The finding results are then corrected using the obtained extrapolation function, and the finding accuracy is increased. The interpolation results modified the finding results separately, which was calculated by interpolation method of linear interpolation, quadratic interpolation, cubic interpolation, fourth power interpolation and so on of 8 nodes and 16 nodes. The result proved that obtained more interpolation nodes can modify finding result better from data comparison. The quadratic interpolation has small computational amount and simple function form the proposed interpolation method. Meanwhile, the paper perfected and improved the exiting direction finding system of using interpolation method.
