Augmented Reality technology can integrate the virtual information and the real world seamlessly, so as to meet the needs of users that interact with the environment of nature directly. With the popularity of smart phones and other mobile terminal, the application of the augmented reality attracts more and more attention, which will has a broad application prospect.This article realized the application of augmented reality based on android, The application has obvious effect in the training autistic children’s attention and promote positive emotions. In this paper, the main work and achievements are listed as follows:1. This paper expounds the principle of augmented reality and 3D registration of AR technology, and using the ARToolkit realized the 3D registration based on pattern recognition.2. This paper uses the OpenGL drawing 3D models and rendering textures and illumination for a virtual image display, and achieved the display and the transformation of model based on the principle of computer graphics.3. Due to the applicability of augmented reality in the intervention for autism. This paper realized an application of augmented reality based on Android to strengthen the attention and promote the positive emotion in autism children, and analyzed the results of the application.4. The main modules’ design of application based on the Android platform lists as follows: choose the interface module, database module, model drawing module, identity recognition module and augmented reality display module.5. Using the results of the application of autism intervention to analyze, and the analysis shows that, in the use of this application, children with autism obtain more positive emotions significantly and also got the corresponding improvement in both selective attention and sustained attention.
