With Internet, cloud computing is a computing mode providing dynamic services and topological-virtual resources for users as a new IT run mode. Cloud computing can effectively integrate large data resources distributed across network. The users can accept various services from the cloud provided by operators, access to data resources and visit cloud over the computing resources and storage resources via the Internet. IT end-user does not need to invest a lot of costs, without thinking of the stored position of data resources, the underlying hardware implementation and large data management problems,and all the resources can be just accessed on demand. Cloud computing has changed the traditional network topology,providing a new setting mode for the network. It has not only saved costs greatly by improving the resource utilization, but also effectively solved the technical challenges of the era of big data for the network development.Virtual technique is one of the most widely used technology in cloud computing. Among them, virtual storage and system are inseparable because management program in virtual machine on a physical machine can conduct and work with one or more virtual machines.These virtual machines are just like a real physical machine which can be installed by a variety of software. However, in the view of resource consumption, every virtual machine is independent and isolated. Through unified resource division, such as for hardware, storage and unified management server, virtual technology has solved the problem of large investment on IT running and maintenance. Under unified deployment, this technique plays a important role in large scale data center management in improving server utilization.This thesis has analyzed the coming into being, development and application of cloud computing. By the core technology of cloud computing platforming, campus network can achieve campus information digitized by using private cloud patterns on its soft-hardware platform. With VMware virtual technology for in-depth study and practice, the thesis briefly states the construction of virtual server in the data center, thus building a unified authentication platform, information portals and coding standards unified in software systems on the private cloud platform in this data center. Through modular approach to reducing costs,after that, this system is heterogeneous, topological and operable. In this thesis, the role that cloud computing plays in developing campus network and how the network can develop and be faced challenge in the future are demonstrated in the environment of cloud computing.
