| As an important part of desktop learning terminal, human-computer interface has a great influence on the user experience of the software. Therefore, in the design and development process of desktop learning terminal, the design of human-computer interface has been attached great importance to practitioners. One important reason why the market performance of educational software is not just as one wishes is that the software itself is lack of the design of personalized human-computer interface and does not meet the requirements of Engineering Psychology for “make people work effectively and comfortably in the software systemâ€.As one branch of psychology, Engineering psychology takes human-computer-environment as the research object and aims to make human, computer and environment to match each other to improve the work efficiency, guarantee safety and enhance personnel working comfort of man-computer operating. The human-computer interface is one comprehensive discipline that involves many fields and its research content is the design and evaluation of computer software systems which makes these systems better for users to use. The basic viewpoints of engineering psychology and the human-computer interface both emphasize the sufficient investigation of design to make the final results meet the requirements of users to improve the work efficiency, reduce error probability and enhance the user experience. Under the circumstance of the construction of educationally digital resource service platform in Shenmu county of Shaanxi Province, this paper takes the engineering psychology and HCI theory as the basis to build the models of teachers and students who use the desktop learning terminal to clear the needs of the users for the details of each operation and then targets for the design of human-computer interface in order to meet the requirements of the users. The on-line operation indicates that, the desktop learning terminal can solve the relevant requirements of users for network teaching and meet the needs of different users for the ease of use, personalized needs in the system. The construction of user model and the methods of model analysis and technology realization described in this paper have certain reference significance for the design of other educational software. The main contents of this paper include:1. The application of the research methods and related theories of engineering psychology and HCI in the design of teaching software human interface.2. By constructing and analyzing the specific teachers and students user model of the desktop learning terminal, the special effects of teaching activities on the human-computer interface design is explored. In the paper, the user model is subdivided into cognitive model and task model and then the expression methods of knowledge in a user’s brain and behavior of users to finish tasks are described respectively.3. Based on user modeling and detailed analysis, the corresponding technologies are selected to complete the design and implementation of desktop learning terminal. Eclipse platform and JAVA is selected to complete the development of desktop learning terminal’s HCI.4. Behavior analysis, a method in HCI, is used to evaluate the Human-Computer Interface of desktop learning terminal by comparing the task completion time and the continuity of the action.Finally, some experience and research results in the process of the design of the desktop learning terminal are summarized and then the deficiencies and the direction of improvement for further research are pointed out. |
