Study Of Information Sharing Of Anti-smuggling Intelligence In China Customs

Nowadays, smuggling is characterized as a kind of intelligent and latent crime. Anti-smuggling activities of China Customs have been changing from traditional investigation to that being oriented by intelligence. Along with the great development of information technology in society, the anti-smuggling intelligence has been changing from secret ways to applications of information resources. Different sections in China Customs and other anti-smuggling departments produce intelligence products through the combination and sharing of information, which plays a important role in the prevention, strike and comprehensive treatment of smuggling. Despite of the continuous promotion of information sharing in and out of China Customs, there are still deficiencies and faultiness in the degree, quality and approaches of information sharing, which can not meet the demand of anti-smuggling intelligence in China Customs, and consequently projects a negative influence to the efficiency and effect of anti-smuggling activities. Therefore, the writer of this thesis will start with analyzing the present situation of information sharing of anti-smuggling intelligence, and then find out the problems and conduct an analysis. Meanwhile the writer will refer to the advanced experience of information sharing in the Customs of western developed countries, and bring forward suggestions of information sharing of anti-smuggling intelligence in China Customs.
