The Research On CIM Modeling And Automatic Transformation From CIM To PIM Based On Business Process

Because of problems such as the requirements` imperfection and inconsistency in traditional Computation Independent Model(CIM) modeling, the low degree of automation and the imperfection in the description of Platform Independent Model(PIM) in CIM-to-PIM transforming, this paper proposes a Business-Process-based CIM modeling method and a CIM-to-PIM transformation method. Use Business Process Model to express CIM, and use UML`s Sequence Diagram, State Chart Diagram and Class Diagram to express PIM. First, get the user`s requirements through business process models, extract use cases from business processes and create use case specification, and also add a verification mechanism for the use case specification. Then regard use case specification as the input, combine with use case driven thinking, responsibility driven thinking and affinity analysis to automatically transform the CIM into PIM. Finally, this paper implement a model transformation tool. Then apply methods above to Book Management System to verify the correctness and feasibility of the transformation methods.No matter from the theory or from the implementation technology, this paper is more innovative than methods now exist. Using methods above to model CIM and to do CIM-to-PIM transformation can guarantee the perfection of the model, reduce the risk of uncertainty caused by manual work, and then promote the automation process of MDA.
