Study On Governmental Press Spokesman System In Modern China

This thesis reviews how press spokesman system has developed in China over past three decade, in contrast to the matured press spokesman system in western countries like the United States. It also sheds light upon the new challenges coming from the tremendously changing society and the explosive new media boom. By looking into the three dilemmas that China press spokesman has encountered in role positioning, I conducted two case study on governmental press spokesmen of Railway Ministry and National Energy Administration, both of whom have incited wide public attention. In the very end, suggestions on plausible reforming measures are made to improve China governmental press spokesman system, from the aspect of system designing and staff professionalizations.
