Generally, the good monitoring of media report is a kind of fortune for a country. But in recent years, the media pays great attention to the social effect of the news. Then a number of false news occur sand become the unfortune of the whole society. Some "payable news" without pre-review are reported in the media. But many things, which worth the attention of the media, are not deeply investigated and even not reported after the interview.Facing those problems, the whole society complains the loss of accountability of the media. But at the back of the problems, the regulatory department also needs to afford some responsibilities. It means that the supervisory role of the media needs to be recognized dialectically. The behaviors of governments should be monitored by the media. But it is not correct to excessively rely on the monitoring role of the media. Then the people will have a wrong understanding that the problems not reported by the media would not be solved by the government.The media needs to strengthen its own improvement. And the regulatory department should enhance the regulation. In our country, the legislation for press monitoring should be improved and the media should be given more authorities on monitoring. The scope of press monitoring should be identified clearly and the personal security of pressman must be ensured.
