Lidar can achieve high-precision detection, high-resolution imaging, identification and tracking, has been widely used in the civilian and military sectors. Scanning laser radar target search and detection in larger airspace range, is an important research direction of the laser radar. The high speed of the laser scanning system is a laser radar to complete the capture of the moving target.Analysis introduces the commonly used laser scanning technology based on the size of the state of the target motion and scan the airspace, to design a high-speed galvanometer-based laser scanning system. The analysis of the work performance of a rectangle, Branch spiral, spiral-shaped and hexagonal scan mode. Consider the problem of loss of time because of the acceleration and deceleration galvanometer scan time calculated four scanning methods, and the use of principle experiment system structures, rectangular branch spiral, hexagonal scan scanning speed of three ways test, prove that the system is working properly; according to the known target probability of the equations of motion, motion warning information extended target acquisition probability formula is derived to calculate the rectangle, Branch spiral, spiral, hexagonal scan target acquisition probability scan mode. The results show that, under the premise of a given time and the scan area, the same as the rectangular scanning branches helical scan capture probability, are 91.84%, hexagonal scan capture probability is 96.71%, a spiral scan capture probability only 70.74%. So hexagonal scanning method has better performance. To further verify the capture performance for different scannings, it carried on the test of the capture for the still and moving target by using the motion model. It made a analysis and discussion on the results comparing various scanning. The experiment found that the largest number of the hexagon scanning detection event occurs, so the hexagonal scanning is easier to capture the target.
