As an important method to acquire images, the CCD imaging system is widely used in various fields, especially in the military defense field. Many countries are building their own space-based satellite reconnaissance system actively to cope with the future high-tech war. The CCD imaging system consists of two parts, the CCD signal source and the video signal processing chips. Indeed, the video signal processing chips affect the quality of the imaging system directly. Therefore, it is significant to test whether the video signal processing chip meets the design requirements and can put into application. This paper designs and implements an automated test system for the video signal processing chip based on FPGA.The system consists of three subsystems, the PC, function panels and display systems. Each module is controlled by the FPGA test system to complete the test chip. The system has two characteristics: Firstly, the test signal source system is customizable. By customizing the signal source, the testing and analysis of some important indicators in the chip can be completed easily; secondly, the system can automatically load and configure data sources through the PC, which reduces the complexity of the test.The whole system has been measured. It achieves the design, and can complete functional testing of the video signal processing chips.
