High Frequency communication plays an important role in military communications, but the traditional HF radio can not meet the increasing requirements for the quality of data transmission and network capacity in modern military communications. It is of great significance to study the third generation HF communication system. Based on the protocol of HF adaptive communication system Automatic Link Establishment technologies, to achieve reliable data transmission in HF channel, some advanced Digital Signal Processor technologies are used in this thesis.According to the channel characteristics of High Frequency and the practical situation of the Digital Signal Processor system, the key technologies of the third generation of High Frequency in physical layer and the implement on DSP hardware platform are mainly discussed. Firstly, in this thesis some technologies about the Hop Brust Wave in physical layer are introduced, including RS(24,6) encoding, scrambling, Walsh spread spectrum, wave generation, 8PSK modulation and so on. And some key techniques in receiving side are given, including Hilbert transform, sliding corrrelation to achieve synchronization, Walsh despreading, descramble, RS(24,6) decoding and so on. Then these key technologies are simulated with MATLAB. The results shows that the performance of hop burst wave can reach the requirements of HF hop system. Finally, the hopping burst wave is realized by programming on existed DSP hardware platform.
