Antenna servo system, which can control the mode of the equipment or change parameters, is widely used in the earth station antenna system to insure the earth station antenna system to run safely. It is significative to impove the degree of automation and the accuracy of control because that can ensure the function of antenna, enhance the signal strength and maintain the stable of the satellite communication system. In this paper, a servo system, used in 13 meters full motion Ka band antenna, is researched deeply. An improved tracing algorithm is presented with the purpose that establishing a continuous and reliable satellite communication link.1. An improved step-advance tracking with memory tracking scheme is put forward. based on the compare and summarize of several earth station antenna tracking modes, it can be find that the step-advance tracking mode is suit for this system. Each module is discussed under the principle of modular and structure design.2. The hardware design scheme is described in detail. Hardware system consists of the following sections, such as limit detection circuit, security logic circuit, inverter drive circuit and power circuit. For each part, the relevant principle circuits or the realization circuits have been presented. More over, the selection scheme of important components are discussed under this environment.3. The software design scheme is given. The main parts of software include the select of development environment, The determination of the overall function, Software initialization, data preprocessing and function realization. Several algorithms, which are applied to this system, are proposed to realize digital PID control, step-advance tracking, memory tracking, and scanning.4. Finally, the environment and method, suitable for this research, are applied to test the performance of the servo system. The compare results show that the proposed algorithm presents is significant because that it meets the requirement of indicators and achieves the espected design goal.
